This July Holidays we are running Acro Intensives!
A great way to learn new acro skills and push yourself to the next level.
Open to all, you don't have to be a Rose Academy student to attend.
These four specialty class types will focus on the different elements of Acro:
Flexibility and Contortion
Limbering and Balancing
Tumbling
Acro Choreography
The three class levels are split by experience and ability, no age limits.
Beginner: 0 - 1 year acro experience, for students Primary to Level 1 in Acrobatic Arts
Experienced: 1 - 3 years acro experience, for students Level 2 to Level 4 in Acrobatic Arts
Advanced: 3+ years acro experience, for students Level 5 & up in Acrobatic Arts
$25 per class, or all 4 for $80

Flexibility & Contortion
Learn new stretches and tips to improve your flexibility, understand the importance of correct alignment, and discover how to safely include contortion into your acro training.
Beginner: 11.00am - 12.00pm, Thursday 14th July
Experienced: 1.30pm - 2.30pm, Thursday 14th July
Advanced: 4.00pm - 5.00pm, Thursday 14th July
Limbering & Balancing
Try a range of exciting skills from bridge variations, walkovers,
rolling tinsicas, and arabians to handstand variations, headstands, scorpions and chest stands. Skills will be level appropriate.
Beginner: 10.00am - 11.00am, Thursday 14th July
Experienced: 12.30pm - 1.30pm, Thursday 14th July
Advanced: 3.00pm - 4.00pm, Thursday 14th July
Tumbling
Everyone loves the excitement of tumbling in acro,
especially skills that get air time.
In these classes we will cover cartwheel variations, a variety of rolls, and aerials & back handsprings.
All skills will be set at the students' ability level.
Beginner: 10.00am - 11.00am, Friday 15th July
Experienced: 12.30pm - 1.30pm, Friday 15th July
Advanced: 3.00pm - 4.00pm, Friday 15th July
Acro Choreography
It's one thing to be able to execute acro skills beautifully, it's another to seamlessly incorporate them into dance.
In this workshop students will focus on the transitions and joining of their acro skills into dance combinations to create
a performance piece.
Beginner: 11.00am - 12.00pm, Friday 15th July
Experienced: 1.30pm - 2.30pm, Friday 15th July
Advanced: 4.00pm - 5.00pm, Friday 15th July
Students who take this class are invited to perform their dance for friends and family in a short showcase at 5.30pm on Friday.
