Many of our dancers love the opportunity to compete in local and regional dance competitions, making the most of the chance to develop and perfect performance skills. They also have heaps of fun and make new dance friends.

Competitions present an excellent opportunity to dance in front of an audience, become comfortable performing on stage, and experience the process of rehearsing dances until they are perfected. Through these experiences dancers  build confidence, develop their own style, learn how to engage with an audience and improve dance technique.

Competitions can be entered as solos, duos, trios or groups, and in a wide range of classes from classical ballet and jazz, right through to musical theatre and entertainment pieces. 

There is no set age to start competitions, so if you're interested discuss this with your teacher.
